- PARG will respect you, your property, and all others in the course of an investigation.
- PARG may publish evidence collected during an investigation. However, we will not publish any identifying information about the specific case location or specific people involved. Your privacy is important to us.
- Investigations are performed pro bono (free). We will never ask for payment for services rendered. Donations may be accepted if you wish (PARG is a registered nonprofit organization. However, we are not tax-exempt, and donations may not be used as a tax deduction).
- We ask that all questions are to be answered truthfully during the request and any interviews. You will most likely be asked some questions multiple times throughout the investigation. This is done to aid our investigators and researchers.
- You may stop an investigation at any time.
For your information, the typical investigative process includes the following steps:
- You contact PARG via email, telephone, text message, or this form.
- A case manager receives the initial information and contacts you as soon as possible (be aware that all of our positions are volunteer, and while we make every effort to contact you immediately, circumstances may not allow for this and it may be a period of time before we are able to make contact with you).
- The case manager (CM) will conduct an initial interview. During this phase, the CM will determine if PARG is able to assist and provide any other direction to you in preparation for an investigation, or request that you obtain certain permissions or information for us to begin the actual steps of investigating the case.
- The case manager will direct you to complete the formal "Investigation Request" Web form which contains the necessary waivers and authorizations for PARG to begin (this step will not be necessary if the initial contact is made via that Web form).
- PARG will notify the various members to begin preparing for the investigation. This includes determining the best investigators for the case, and also having the researchers begin collecting relevant information on the case, if possible and/or necessary.
- The Group will dispatch a team to the location at the date and time scheduled by the case manager. The typical team size will be 3 to 4 members, though this may vary.
- The team will conduct the necessary steps to collect whatever relevant data possible. This may include the following steps/techniques:
- Electromagnetic field (EMF) detection
- electronic voice phenomenon (EVP) recordings
- digital photography
- videography
- motion detection
- other procedures as necessary
- Upon collection of all evidence, all photographs, videos, audio recordings, and data will be analyzed. The typical timeframe for this process is 1 week. However, this may differ depending on the case.
- Upon completion of the evidence review, you will be contacted to discuss the findings. Remember, we will not say that a place is or is not haunted. We will only give you the evidence as we interpreted it, and allow you to make that decision.
- This is a general guideline, and these steps may differ depending on circumstances.
Be aware that if an investigation is scheduled, then you will receive a confirmation call or email (depending on your preference) between 24-72 hours (1 to 3 days) in advance of the scheduled investigation time. If we do not get confirmation, then we will not be able to perform the investigation. Confirmation may be done via email, telephone, voice message, or text message.
Additionally, PARG cannot and will not make any guarantees that an investigation will yield any results. Please bear that in mind.
If you must cancel an investigation, please do so at least 24 hours prior to the investigation time.
