Mission Statement
We are dedicated to the objective investigation of paranormal activities. We will honor all wishes for confidentiality, and will treat all parties-living and deceased-with the utmost level of dignity,respect, and confidentiality, and free from any discrimination.The Paranormal Activities Research Group (PARG) is a small team located in Southwest Ohio whose function is to investigate claims of paranormal activity. PARG is committed to conducting objective investigations which are free from bias or undue influence by any person or organization.
- We are not "ghost hunters." We'll leave that to those on TV. We are researchers and investigators whose function is to obtain demonstrable proof (or document the lack thereof), not to sensationalize and overhype a dust particle caught on film.
- We are not willing to compromise our integrity. Evidence is to be discovered and documented, not fabricated.
- We are not the "final say" as to whether a paranormal event is present or not. A lack of evidence to support a positive result does not mean that an anomaly doesn't exist. additionally, evidence may not be conclusive or it could be subjective and open to interpretation.
Our goal is to assist those who believe that they are affected by the paranormal by helping to determine if there is in fact the possibility of activity, the type of activity, and what can be done about the activity. We do this through the use of an extensive interview process of the people involved, photographic surveying of the area of activity, and possibly the use of audio, video, and other investigative techniques.
We also strive to educate the public on various aspects of the paranormal. This includes explaining the lastest theories and hypotheses about the paranormal, personal opinions on the matter, references to where to learn more about the paranormal, and other information. PARG recognizes and appreciates the opinions and observations of both the skeptic and believer, and will represent both sides so that the public can decide on whether the paranormal exists or what exactly it is.
PARG is comprised of both skeptics and believers. Members range in various faiths and religious beliefs. We strive to assist anyone regardless of his or her beliefs, and expect our members to investigate with the utmost respect for all people-living and deceased-throughout an investigation.
